Ambit GC Carbon Handlebar
From Concept to Trail-Ready Innovation
From Prototype to GameChanger
The first prototypes hit the toughest test tracks in Europe and the forests of our home trails. Our R&D team pushed it to the limit—not just in the lab, but on the trails—because we weren’t just looking for numbers; we wanted real riding feedback.
We tested the Bartender GC against a traditional round carbon handlebar with the exact same layup to make sure we weren’t just imagining the difference. The outcome?
- • Over 25% more flex to reduce fatigue and smooth out rough terrain.
- • Maintained steering stiffness for uncompromised control.
- • Micro-Flex instead of noticeable bend - vibrations disappear while handling remains razor-sharp.
Developing a handlebar that delivers compliance without compromising control required rethinking not only materials but also shape and integration. The result is a patent-pending oval design, engineered to optimize comfort and reduce fatigue while maintaining steering precision.
“The oval shape looks insane, and the comfort while riding feels super smooth and stable at the same time.”
- Eliott Lapotre, Ambit Athlete

"After four days of riding in Finale Ligure, my hands still felt fresh – the oval shape absorbs vibrations, reducing fatigue and making the ride noticeably smoother."
- Markus Reiser, Ambit R&D Team
What Makes the Ambit GC Carbon Handlebar Special?
- Less Fatigue, More Control:
The oval carbon fiber design creates the perfect balance of flex and stiffness. That means less arm pump, longer focus, and more fun on every ride.
- Stiff Where It Matters:
Despite increased compliance, the bar remains rock solid in steering response, ensuring that every input translates directly to the trail.
- Durability You Can Trust:
Tested in the lab and proven on the trail: before reaching your hands, the GC handlebar endured everything from controlled stress simulations to long days on the trail to really feel the output of the development. Only after meeting both our engineering standards and rider expectations did the all new GC handlebar make it to production.
- Patent-Pending Design for a New Riding Experience:
Unlike anything else on the market, the GC’s patent-pending oval shape isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s a carefully engineered solution to enhance compliance, reduce fatigue, and offer better control in demanding terrain.
- Innovative Fit with Built-in Safety:
Thanks to the Oval-to-Round aluminum shim, the GC handlebar seamlessly integrates with standard 35mm stems – featuring a secure mechanical locking interface.

Some innovations are born in the lab. Others on the trail. The Ambit GC Carbon Handlebar is both.
It all started with a simple question: Can a handlebar noticeably improve ride feel on rough terrain without compromising control?
Our engineers in Germany took on this challenge, working closely with riders who know exactly what a handlebar needs to deliver. The key was rethinking traditional design – creating a bar that maintains steering precision while subtly absorbing trail chatter. The result? A fully oval carbon layup that redefines comfort without sacrificing control.
